Biography
Alice Augusta (nee Fox-Pitt) was the second eldest daughter of Augustus Henry Lane Fox Pitt-Rivers, born around 1862 in London. In 1884, she married banker, politician and antiquarian John Lubbock, 1st Baron Avebury, who was 28 years her senior and had been a colleague of her father. The couple had five children together and lived at High Elms, near Farnborough, and Kingsgate Castle in Kate. She died in March 1947.
