Biography
Rachel Fryer (née Coates) was born in 1806 to George Coates and Hannah Whitewall. She had seven siblings including Hannah Coates. In 1836, Rachel married John Jowitt Fryer, aged 30. She later married Joseph Howitt Fryer and they had two daughters, Rachel Ann and Sarah Amelia. She died aged 45 in 1852.
