Biography
Caroline Fox (1767-1845) was the only daughter of Stephen Fox, 2nd Baron Holland. In 1842, she founded a charity school on a site at what was now her brother Henry Vassall-Fox’s estate Holland House, and near her home Little Holland House. The school was for children of the poorer classes in Kensington. It survives today, though on a different site, as Fox Primary School. Caroline died unmarried in 1845, aged 78.
