Biography
Anne (nee Garbett) married lawyer and politician Sir Samuel Romilly in 1798, having met at Bowood House. The couple had six sons and one daughter. Anne died after a long illness in 1818, aged just 33, whilst staying at East Cowes Castle as a guest of John Nash. Her distraught husband committed suicide just a few days later in his London home.
