Biography
Robert Henry Walker (1857-1939) was the son of the Revd John Walker (1821-1904), Rector of Bradwell, Suffolk, and Louisa Gertrude Walker. He had two sisters, Harriett and Margaret, one of which this diary belongs to. Walker joined the Church Missionary Society in 1887, and was based at Usambiro and Mengo before becoming Archdeacon of Uganda, 1893-1912, and then Secretary of the C.M.S. in Uganda, 1890-1912.
