Biography
Lady Charlotte Anne Bridgeman (1827-1858), was the third daughter of George Augustus Frederick Henry Bridgeman, 2nd Earl of Bradford, and his first wife, Georgina Elizabeth Moncreiffe. The main seat of the Bradford family was Weston Park, Staffordshire, but the family, which included at least three brothers, were also resident at Castle Bromwich, Warwickshire. Charlotte was very close to her two sisters, Lady Mary Selina Louisa and Lady Lucy Caroline Bridgeman, having mutual friends and sharing interests such as archery, music and the new invention of photography. In 1858 Charlotte and her sister Lucy both died because of a tragic accident at the family home, when Lucy's dress caught fire and, in trying to save her, Charlotte was also fatally injured.
