Biography
Edith Baring-Gould was the daughter of Reverend Baring-Gould, who was the Church Mission Society Home Secretary from 1888–1894 and later Secretary responsible for the Ceylon, China, Japan and Canada missions. Edith herself was a member of the CMS Headquarters staff in London and served on many of its committees during the 1940s and 50s. Her active involvement with the CMS lasted over 50 years.
